BEHIND THE SCENES: The kitchen at
NEWTech Prep was extra busy today!
As culinary students prepared for an evening showcase to demonstrate the skills they have
learned in the program, they also answered questions about their experience for
Washington Grown, an Emmy award-winning television series that highlights the farms, businesses, and restaurants that grow and serve Washington’s 300 agricultural crops.
NEWTech director David Ulyanchuk and Culinary Arts instructors Eric Cook and Cynthia Monroe were also interviewed about the opportunities available for Spokane-area high school students through NEWTech programs and how Culinary Arts & Hospitality is preparing students for future success, in the kitchen and in life.
