On Saturday, the NCTA Animation & Graphic Design class did a field trip to Everett HS's Little Theatre for the AMES Super Showcase Animation & Film competition. We were directly competing with Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center, and being judged by industry professionals.
This is a list of our wins:
First place went to the stop-motion "Revenge of Chop" by Drizzy Productions. They are two PM students: Cameron Neal and Evin Vargas. Their itch page has a link to their animation on YouTube. They were also awarded Outstanding Achievement in Direction.
Second place went to the traditionally animated "Dummy" by Shrimp in a Jar Studios. They are two AM students: Kit Cooper & Carla Jimenez-Nava. Their itch page has a link to their animation on YouTube. They were also awarded Outstanding Achievement in Writing & Story.
Outstanding Achievement in Character Performance went to PM's 3D-animated "Robo Inc." by Mace of War (Garrett Hanson & Zachary Hardin). Links to itch and YouTube.
