NewTech Prep Tuesday Tours (formerly Welcome Wednesdays) allows prospective students to experience a day as a NEWTEch student! Students tour the NEWTech programs during a regular school day, meet our instructors and current students, and learn about the many opportunities available at NEWTech! Todays program spotlight: SNO-ISLE TECH - DENTAL ASSISTING Do you dream of working in the world of dentistry? Do you want an opportunity to go straight into the industry of your dreams right out of high school? Do you want to learn about the different professions such as a dental assistant, hygienist, dental receptionist or dentist? Join our DENTAL ASSISTING program! Our students will learn skills such as sterilization, prepping patients for procedures, assisting the dentist, basic dental procedures, and more! Students will practice on mannequins and other students in the program to gain skills before they move on to assisting a local dentist with real patients in our on-site dental clinic. Students will also complete an internship at a local dental clinic during second semester! Dental Assisting students can earn 3 high school credits (Lab Science equivalency credit available) and industry recognized certifications. Students will also become a WA State Registered Dental Assistant. Prerequisite of Health & Biology required before applying. Applications will open Nov. 7th at 4 PM! Sno-Isle Auto Tech Program! The Automotive Technology program at Sno-Isle TECH recently completed another re-accreditation with the ASE Education Foundation. This makes it the fourth round of re-accreditation for us. As with any process similar to this, it takes a lot of time and effort along with support at multiple levels. Students in this program will learn technical skills for troubleshooting computers and networks, learn & develop for the Internet of Things, Raspberry Pi for python programming language, and cloud computing. Students will learn in an industry based lab setting getting first hand experience! Successful students will earn 3 high school credits with the opportunity to also earn dual college credit and industry recognized certifications. Get a head start today! In this program students can earn 3 high school credits (Fine Arts & Geometry equivalency credit available) and dual college credit, leading to a jump start on your college career!
