Our ProMed classes have been working on understanding patients with impairments. Students having been using different types of hands on tools that can replicate symptoms of the hearing and seeing impaired and even have some tools that can make the students joints feel stiff like if they had arthritis. Understanding the effects of these impairments is crucial in the healthcare field.

CBTECH hosted our annual Advisory Boards banquet. Advisory Boards are our industry partners that help programs decide what our pathways need to be teaching! As you can tell it was a very special and successful evening. We appreciate all the support given to CBTECH and our students.

Thank you Genie Industries for having the CBTECH staff over for a tour, we quite enjoyed it.

After over a year of planning and working to see Fire Science brought to our local high school tech center, your Moses Lake Firefighters welcomed CBTECH Fire Science students for their first of many trips to the Moses Lake Fire Department. Students have the opportunity to spend 540 hours this year, ( 3 full class periods daily) training and learning about all the aspects that go into being in the fire service. They will have the chance to explore all the career options of firefighting, dispatch, Emergency Medical Services, wildland firefighting and opportunities for scholarships, higher education and residency programs. We hope to teach employability skills, leadership, professionalism, pride and ownership, teamwork, hard work and selflessness while using firefighting as the medium to deliver those lessons. One of the most incredible parts of this program is that each student has committed to being a volunteer firefighter for their home departments which adds 21 new volunteers in our area!!!
You will notice some familiar faces for the instructors of this program. Lieutenant Lynn Falconer- Lead Instructor, Firefighter Jaron Shaddix- Co-instructor, and Captain Eric Shurtz- Alternate Instructor, Along with the dozens of line and support personnel who have committed to volunteering their time and knowledge to train, mentor and encourage these students. Moses Lake Firefighters will not be the only faces you see for this program, the brotherhood of the fire service has run deep throughout this County and there has not been a single Fire District that hasn’t ask “how can we help!?” We will be taking time to visit all of our neighboring districts, welcome guest lectures, and open our doors for them to participate in training the next generation of firefighters.
“The brotherhood of firefighters is built on trust, camaraderie, and an unyielding dedication to serving others”

Remembering 9/11 at CBTECH. Thank you students and volunteers who came out to show respect and honor our flag.

One of our Construction Trades students spray painted some incredible wall art to hang up in the Tiny Homes they are building! Once completed, the homes will be donated to The Low Income Housing Institute homeless camps, so families that are seeking shelter have a safe place to go!

Our Fire Service Tech students got the opportunity to perfect their extrication skills with the help of Sky Valley Fire Department! The program received a donation of two vehicles for training purposes, giving the students an incredible opportunity to gain the necessary skills needed for the Fire Service profession. The Fire Service students used spreaders (more commonly known as the "Jaws of Life") and cutters to cut open vehicles in the case of an emergency, to safely get the patient out of the vehicle.

Sno-Isle TECH's Fashion and Merchandising program hosted their annual Fashion Show! This is a culminating project where students get to create their brand, learn to market themselves, and have their hand made, unique and upcycled pieces modeled on the runway! The talent and creativity shown by these students was outstanding!
