Spokane Valley Tech Friendsgiving breakfast this morning in Mrs. Schultz Humanities class (juniors). The students wanted to plan a celebration for each other. Well deserved as they finished their Crucible final projects last week. Some groups made graphic novels, did drawings, or even made computer game concepts. We love seeing the ideas they come up with for final projects as it often involves what they are learning in their CTE classes, like computer science. Tri-Tech follows the Kennewick School District weather policy. If there is a 2 hour delay, there is no AM Tri-Tech. If Kennewick cancels there is no Tri-Tech at all. If an outlying district calls a 2 hour delay, all of those students will be excused from AM Tri-Tech because if it is too bad for the buses, our students probably shouldn't be driving either. We encourage students to ride the buses in the winter and leave the driving to the professionals. If parents ever feel the conditions are too bad for their student to drive, please let our attendance office know. You can also sign up for Parent Square to be notified right away when there are weather delays.
