Our new WRAP VR training system for our Criminal Justice program!
This system is a cutting edge training system used by law enforcement throughout the United States. We are very excited!
The pictures include our trainer Undersheriff Purcell, AM CJ students Carson and Piper, and Officer Burke from the Mount Vernon Police Department. Officer Burke stopped by to try the system out and was very impressed with the abilities of the WRAP VR system.

Wow was our Mock Interview Day last Friday beyond amazing. We had over 150 industry professionals working with our students. All told, there were probably more than 1200 interviews done throughout the day. Lots of resumes left with the interviewers and quite a few business cards were handed out. Great job students and staff to get ready for the big day. They say a photo says a thousand words.....so enjoy.

@kniferiverprestress industry tour today for our advanced manufacturing/engineering students. This company makes all the girders for the North-South Corridor Project and paves 1-90 with giant slabs. In one of the pictures, the students got to see a 160,000 lbs girder that has been used on the project! Another future career option students may be interested in. Thanks for the tour and time with our students!

🌎Happy Earth Day! Let's take a look a some fun ways SVT has supported the earth this past school year:
-Tree Planting on the Appleway Trail in Sept. We use this trail often
for PE when the weather allows. It has been so rewarding and exciting for our
students to see how their trees have bloomed/grown this spring.
-Cleaning up trash on the Centennial Trail this past Feb with Spokane Riverkeeper.
-Preparing future firefighters in fire science
🌎Also, our very own Nick Strandlof (jr) had a letter to the editor published to The Spokesman-Review this past Jan about how important it is to keep our local community clean. He goes out every weekend to clean up trash.
🌎What is your favorite thing about this beautiful world? We sure have a lot of nice lakes and hiking in the PNW!

CBTECH instructors Lynn Dodd and Kathleen Claymore took part as mentors and speakers, sharing their personal journeys and inspiring attendees to fight for their goals and aspirations.
A highlight of the event was three of our CBTECH students winning laptops—an exciting step toward their futures! We are proud of our students for taking part in such a meaningful experience!

Our CBTECH Culinary Arts students have been working on their knife skills and it looks like they're getting pretty good.
